About This Padlock:
On of the most secure Diskus padlock on the market for high security requirements with a shackle made of hardened special steel. With a stainless steel body it is also suitable for use outdoors. A rotating key guard prevents force attacked to the lock barrel and helps to keep water and dirt from entering the mechanism. Remember that all discus padlocks are deisgned to be 'key-retaining' for security reasons and therefore will only release the key once the padlock is re-locked again.
This padlock is insurance approved to CEN Grade 3 and qualifies as a closed shackle padlock.
Where many discus padlocks on the market fall down the ABUS will prevail. Many discus locks can be crushed along their seam or cut due to their hollow construction. However, the ABUS Diskus series all use a hardened steel plate encased within the body to prevent this.
Although disc padlocks are a great security option for any situation we recommend that this product is used with our hasp and staple for maximum security. This covers the shackle completely and makes bolt cutter and saw attacks much more difficult.
