About This Padlock:
An insurance approved CEN Grade 3 padlock with an ABUS Plus cylinder offering the highest security with 250,000 key different variations.
Designed for high security requirements with a shackle made of hardened special steel. With a stainless steel internal mechanism ans outer case it is suitable in outdoor conditions. A rotating key guard prevents force attacked to the lock barrel and helps to keep water and dirt from entering the mechanism. Remember that all discus padlocks are deisgned to be 'key-retaining' for security reasons and therefore will only release the key once the padlock is re-locked again.
An additional feature which makes this a superior option to many other disc padlocks is the reinforced plate within the body, preventing the lock body from being cut or force attacked.
Although disc padlocks are a great security option for any situation we recommend that this product is used with our hasp and staple for maximum security. This covers the shackle completely and makes bolt cutter and saw attacks much more difficult.
All our padlocks are delivered with 2 keys each inclusive of the price.

Technology:The ABUS Plus Cylinder is a disc cylinder whereby a stack of different discs is rotated when the key is turned. How far the key turns depends on the indentations in the key. If the discs are not correctly sequenced, a pin blocks the rotation of the cylinder and with it the opening of the lock. We have more information on the
ABUS Plus cylinder here.
