About This Padlock:
Shield is a brand of padlocks in the UK and offer great quality against an exceptional price point. Every lock is made with a hardened steel shackle, a precision mechanism and high quality brass.
It is important to note that padlock quality varies greatly between brands and although excellent, Shield still do not match the German made ABUS locks.
Key Numbers:
We have two key variations available at this time. If this is your first time buying this lock it does not matter which you choose. However, in future you may wish to choose the same key as you ordered before to add to your existing set.
Sizes:
On our website offer four sizes of standard brass padlock. 20mm, 30mm, 40mm and 50mm. Please select your desired size from the drop down menu above. Each is of the same design and dimensions but have increased security with size. Your choice of padlock size depends on the application but you can click the image above for specific measurement
Technology:
Shield have made all their locks with excellent mechanisms with the maximum number of pins available to ensure they have the maximum number of differs in each size, seperating them from many other lower quality locks in the same price range:
- 20mm - 4pins, 120 differs
- 30mm - 4 pins, 240 differs
- 40mm - 5 pins, 560 differs
- 50mm - 5 pins, 960 differs
