About This Padlock:
Although many of our padlocks are designed for use in normal outdoor conditions, our specialist weatherproof padlocks are perfect for more severe environmental conditions or extended outdoor use.
The whole lock body is made from solid rust-free brass. All internal parts are also made of 100% rustproof materials while the shackle is solid stainless steel.
Please note that if you think your padlocks may come into contact with grit, sediment or be subjected to extended exposure to salt water then you may want to consider our plastic coated weatherproof padlocks for added protection. Click here for more information.

Sizes:
We have three sizes of the brass weatherproof padlock. 30mm, 40mm and 50mm. Please use the drop down menu above to select between them.
Engraving:
Also note that we can engrave the 30mm, 40mm and 50mm padlocks and their keys with numbers and letters at a cost of £1.50 per padlock. If you do require this please contact us for details. As a guide we can fit 4 characters on the 30mm, 6 on the 40mm and 8 on the 50mm.
Uses & Applications:
Ideal situations include all vehicles, trailers, containers and boats which are subject to sea/salt water. They work particularly well where the padlock is left locked outdoors for long periods of time. ABUS also have a page dedicated to padlock application here.
Technology:
The precision 5 pin tumbler with self-locking mechanism make the padlock highly secure against picking, while the hardened steel shackle and double bolted case help protect the lock from force attacks.
